My Wardrobe Today – Tuesday
Pewter v-neck sweater – Gap “Shimmer Dolman Sweater”
Gray Trousers – Gap “Perfect Trouser Pants”
Black leather booties – Cole Haan “Air Talia Bootie”
Silver necklace and cuff
Guess who's pants are too big even though she just bought them a month ago. You guessed it, moi! This morning when taking my picture my husband called me “Skinny Mini.” I see the change in my face more so than the rest of my body, which still carries the excess skin, if not the fat that used to be behind it. But putting on these pants and seeing them hang on my hips (and not look so chic in these pics) makes the weight loss all the more real.
Big props to this sweater – I was tempted to not purchase it because I felt it would be one of those that looks gorgeous, gets laundered according to instructions and loses its shape, sparkle, life. Notsomuch. I wore it a couple weekends ago to meet my friend's twin babies and one spitup on my shoulder. Hit it with a bit of Bac-out when I got home, threw in the wash on the gentle cycle, chose to line dry (though it says you can tumble dry low) and it looks and fits exactly the same as it did upon purchase. Score for Gap!
In honor of International Women's Day, I ask all of you to do one thing today – don't quote Charlie Sheen, don't jabber about his antics, just don't discuss him. You can go back to finding entertainment in his insanity on tomorrow, but today let's drop the subject and spend our time supporting women, and men who treat women with respect.
Amen. I am sick to DEATH of hearing about that loser.
Congrats on the weight loss. You look fantastic!
Thanks to your blog, I found the GAP perfect trousers and they ARE perfect….I love them so much and have 4 pairs now. Love them.
those pants are unflattering but isn’t it great when something doesn’t look good because you lost weight? Woohoo! Way to go! I am losing weight too and am looking forward to having unflattering big clothes!
You (and your face!) look great. Congrats on the weight loss – I’m just 1.4 lbs from goal and finding it hard to stay on track when I’m so happy with the results thus far. You’re helping motivate me too!

Love this! The shape of that sweater is super flattering.
Yay – for the pants beiing too big! I love grey and find it, on me, so much more flattering than black.

Your face has gotten so slim! I’m amazed every day. You look amazing!!
I realized today my face has slimmed down a bit too, but it will be a while before my pants hang on my hips like yours do! Thank you always for the inspiration!

I really don’t like to label anything as the best ever but this has to be lets say one of my favourite outfits you ever posted. I think the pants look great being slightly too big. You really (really) nailed it with the top and necklace/cuff combo. Effortlessly chic.
Congrats on the weight loss. You look fantastic!
You look great, I’ve been looking for a sweater like that.
