blunt bangs

Hair is next day, straightened really fast with my flat iron. I think I need a haircut, and I am really craving thick straight blunt bangs. I don't pull the trigger because I fear I will regret them. But then I think with layers, they can grow out without too much pain.

old haircuts

Heck, I grew out my Kelly Taylor early '90s ‘do and my Kelly Osbourne asymmetrical ‘do…

  1. Yes yes yes to the bangs! I had mine done a few years ago against my stylist’s wishes and have LOVED them ever since. AND she’s got hers done now! Heh.

  2. Go for the bangs! I think they will look awesome, and I did the same four weeks ago and still love them and have recieved a bazillion compliments. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. I have hair very similar to yours (at least it looks that way — wavy/curlyish, kind of fine). I’ve been wearing bangs forever but not because I necessarily like them, but because every time I try to grow them out, I get a huge zit right smack in the middle of my forehead. Also, I have that crease between my eyebrows and I’m self conscious about that. Nevertheless, I’ve been growing my bangs out for awhile (still only just below the tip of my nose; don’t know what’s taking so long) because I want to have no bangs for the first time in my life since I was about 12. So I’m going to stick it out and hope that they’re chin length by maybe February or March. With your hair, it would take some styling to keep them right, but it seems that you do something to your hair everyday anyway, so maybe it’s worth a try.

And yeah, wow to the commenter bitching about your daily wardrobe. I love it, and she/he/it can go elsewhere!

  4. Wow to the asshole who posted up there with the “yawn.” Aaaaanyway, you have lovely waves and I think they’ll make blunt bangs a heckuva lotta work. I have some wave as well and it made me insane. However, if you can handle all the straightening and fussing (you’ll have to stay on top of the bang trims because getting the length right is also annoying) I think you’d be adorable with them! 5. Allie,

Can I ask which style of jeans of Loft’s that you are wearing in this pic? I have a few pairs from last year from Loft because that’s usually one of the only places I can find jeans to fit me right since I have to have petite (I’m curvy and short). I was just wondering what color and style (dark wash, straight or boot, etc). They look great on you. As a matter of fact, I love your whole look in this picture!

  6. Allie, from an European perspective, what you showed yesterday as your natural hair let to dry in a curly fashion is absolutely gorgeous and I would die to have such curls.

In fact, I would say that you look better with curls than with straightened hair.

Check out this lady, she tried straightening as well:

  7. I think you would look great with blunt-cut bangs! I would go for it if I were you (and I’m not just saying it because I have blunt-cut bangs). I think the wavy texture to your hair makes it even easier to grow out fringe if you decide you don’t like it.

  8. The thing about hair is that you can always grow it out. If you’re unsure, just ask your stylist to cut them long so you can brush them back if you need to.

Of course, I’ve had bangs forever. Every once-in-awhile I get the idea that I should grow them out – it takes forever and then I hate the look and cut the bangs back in. My stylist has no begun reminding me of this fact when I opine that I might want to grow my bangs out.

If you want to try it, I say go for it!

  9. Well thanks for visiting!

There are HUNDREDS of fashion blogs out there, ones where people don’t wear the same thing twice. Gorgeous women with gorgeous clothes. I encourage you to go visit them for some lovely eye candy.

That’s not the goal of this blog. I am showing a normal wardrobe and how I wear it during my normal day.

  10. *yawn*.. your outfits are really boring and I don’t think they should be showcased daily, sorry. It’s the same couple of tops, the same 3 pairs of jeans and boots. If you wear those Not Your Daughter’s jeans one more time, I’m gonna scream. and that stiped tee. Switch it up!

  11. I feel I can always tell it’s fake, it’s a bit more sparkly than real hair. But if I do get my hair colored dark brown (that’s the plan), maybe I can have it match a little better…

I used to call those fake ponytails everyone wore Tammy Tails. My manager at my job back then was named Tammy and had flame red hair and wore one. It looked great on her, very real but after that… they were Tammy Tails to me. Maybe I need a Tammy Tail for my forehead? ๐Ÿ˜›

  12. ohhh, they have the greatest clip in fake fringe now…don’t have a link, but i have seen some of the fashion bloggers wearing them!
