You know those days where you hate everything in your closet and you hate your hair and you just look at your clothing and get frustrated and consider going to work in sweats? Yeah, that was me this morning.
I got a coupon for J. Crew and ordered a dress from them. It arrived yesterday so I was prepared to wear it today and thought I would be terribly sassy and fun.
Too bad it looked like crap on me. See the band around the low waist with the buttons? Yeah, hits at the very worst part of me and makes me look like a tub; and the sleeves are all the way into my elbow crease and are quite tight. Not fitting the Allie bod…
So this top just came back from the cleaners and was still in the plastic on the back of the bedroom door so I grabbed it.
Black cotton wrap shirt from Ann Taylor, black synthetic cami from Victoria's Secret, denim trousers from Gap, black croco peeptoe heels from BCBGirls (but switched out to my Naturalizer flats when I realized my toe was NOT happy walking tot he Metro), solitaire necklace and studs from Diamond Nexus Labs, silver cuff.
Hair is washed, a touch of Jonathan Silky Dirt and then dried with a round brush.
Makeup is Revlon ColorStay Under Eye Concealer in Light Medium, philosophy The Supernatural in Beige, Cargo Matte BeachBlush in Tenerife all over face and neck and then Nars blush in Orgasm on cheeks, Urban Decay shadow primer, lashes curled and a coat of Benefit Bad Gal Lash with Imju Fiberwig over it, Maybelline UltraLiner in black on top lash line and on lips is Maybelline Shine Seduction gloss in Blushed Bass.
Tonight I plan to get my closet organized and all laundry done so I won't be in such a quandry the rest of the weekend!

You know Joy, you’re right! Never broken a bone in my body except for my toes, and those… well I seem to injure a foot at least once a year. Don’t know if it’s because I am a klutz, have an affinity for high heels or maybe because I have tiny sausage toes and I am imbalanced… but yes allergic reactions and foot injuries are what seem to plague me time and time again! 🙂
