Wednesday
Black stretch cotton v-neck sweater from Banana Republic, black stretch poplin trousers from Caslon, red patent croco peeptoe pumps from Enzo Angiolini, red and pink print silk scarf from Liberty, silver hoops from The Icing, silver cuff.
Hair is second day, straightened with dryer and round brush while dry. A bit of Jonathan Dirt added to ends for separation.
Makeup is L'Oreal true Match concealer in W4-5, Body Shop bronzing powder in Light over whole face, Smashbox Soft Lights in Tint on cheekbones, Revlon ColorStay shadow quad in Neutral Khakis – khaki on lid. Lashes curled, Max Factor's Lash Perfection in Black applied. Maybelline UltraLiner in Black on top lash line. Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush Lip gloss in Strawberry Fizz.
Usually if both items have some spandex in them, they match relatively well. One more washing and these pants may have that green tinge that blacks get, which means they will not be worn with black tops any more.
but this is why you rarely see me in black cotton tops, pants or tees – they are always the first to fade (like my Caslon ribbed tank is doing…)
Question: How do you match your blacks or is that not a problem I should worry about? I am always wanting to wear solid black like you, but have so many different shades in my closet. Do you have a method or are you just magic?
I want that scarf!
You look fabulous! ๐
