Thursday
Black cotton tank from Banana Republic, Denim trousers from Gap, Khaki canvas jacket from Mossimo for Target, black coral necklace from Mexico, silver cuff, balck round-toe high heeled pumps from Jessica Simpson.
Hair was washed with Artec color-depositing shampoo in Cherry Bark, then Kiwi conditioner. Sprayed in FrizzEase Dream Curls, and a bit of Suave Professionals Dream Curls mousse in the front. Allowed to air dry for about a half hour, then dried the rest with a diffuser, then used a curling iron on the pieces that looked rough.
Makeup is L'Oreal True Match foundation in C3, Nars Orgasm blush and a bit of Body Shop bronzer powder in light. Eyes is the Revlon ColorStay shadow quad in neutral – ivory in inner corners and along brow bone, olive on lid and along lower lash line, chocolate in crease. On lips is Revlon ColorGlide in Rum Radiance.
Oooh, no I haven’t tried it. I bought the regular dirt MONTHS ago and I am not even halfway through… if I ever go through it I may have to try that next!
have you tried the jonathan silkydirt? it’s like dirt plus some shine…i just got some last weekend and it’s great!
Yes, I am one of the goofs who watched Blow Out on Bravo, and ended up buying some of Jonathan Antin’s products. His haircare line is called Jonathan and it is available at Sephora. Dirt is sorta like a pomade or wax, but it doesn’t impart shine. It has an almond smell and when added to the hair it makes it look a bit… dirty. Separates the hair without grease or much stickiness, no weird shine, but not a matte finish. A bit of bedhead. It needs to be used super sparingly or else one does look all greasy, but a very small amount (less than a pea) emulsified in my hands and spread on the ends of hair and on bangs gives moderate control without being all stiff and fake. It’s also good for boy and short hair to get that mussed look without being greasy or overly waxy/shiny.
I’m a fan! ๐
I love your site – it often inspires me to mix-and-match my pieces up so it looks like I have a much bigger wardrobe!
One thing I’ve been wondering is – What exactly is Jonathan Dirt, how do you apply it and what does it do?
Thanks!
1. I think they run true to size. They are very tall so not good for long walks or anything, but they look sassy and are good for a desk job.
2. I have very fat arms and get hot easily. I wear tanks because they are comfortable. Also I am a vegetarian and I love showers so I don’t think the jackets need to be dry cleaned due to underarm issues… usually due to me spilling something on my lapel! ๐
now i see all the time you wear tanks with these jackets over them…….silly to ask maybe, but don’t you have to do so many dry cleanings then? why not just wear a short sleeve shirt under there; this way, maybe you can get another wear out of the jacket – what do you think?
You look great – truly beautiful.
Are the Jessica Simpson pumps comfortable? Do they run true to size?
