What I Wore: Chico’s Spring 2018 (and a giveaway!)
Chico's started in 1983 as a small boutique selling Mexican folk art and cotton sweaters on Sanibel Island in Florida. 35 years later, Chico's has evolved to 700 Chico's boutiques nationwide, a monthly catalog, and round-the-clock shopping online. Chico's has always done such a great job of bringing creative fashion to the masses. Wearable for work or weekends and great pieces designed for travel, Chico's always adds a little touch to keep their line from looking too mainstream, too ordinary, too commonplace. I have been a fan of Chico's for many years.
Jacket: Lace-Up Moto Jacket c/o Chico's (2) | Top: V-Neck Slub Tee c/o Chico's (2 Regular) | Jeans: Platinum Jeggings (2 Regular) | Earrings: Connie Clip-On Chandelier Earrings c/o Chico's | Bracelets: Connie Stretch Bracelet Set c/o Chico's | Necklace: Connie Pendant Necklace c/o Chico's | Bag: ALLSAINTS | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban | Boots: Nine West (old; similar)
If the sizing of my pieces look odd, it's because Chico's has their own sizing convention, but they have a handy size chart to help you match up to your regular size or measurements. Their clothing ranges from 0-20 and many pieces are available in petites (even this tee which has become my new favorite). I find their clothing to be generously sized; I got all these pieces in a 2 which is equal to a 12 and believe I could have sized down in the jacket (though this size would be perfect with a sweater) and chosen petite for the jeggings. And can I rave about these leggings for a moment? they are so incredibly comfortable; they're a nice dark color that looks polished, the finish is more like denim but feels like a pair of leggings. This is the second day I wore them to show they don't get stretched out with wear.
Chico's has some of the coolest jewelry and the Connie collection is a perfect example. A mix of hammered silver and lucite, the pieces add shine and sparkle without weight and work with any color and many styles of outfits. I love that the earrings are clip-on; while my ears are pierced clip-ons make dangly earrings far more comfortable!
I am thrilled that Chico's wanted to provide a giveaway for you readers! One Wardrobe Oxygen reader will win a $150 Chico's gift card to spend as she wishes, in-store or online. And let me tell you, this look is only an example of the fabulous fashion Chico's has this spring!
I havenโt shopped Chicoโs in years – might have to give them another try!
Would love to try Chicoโs!
I’ve started shopping at Chicos as a result of reading your blog. I never would have consider it an option before, but since have found a few great pieces – like those jeggings and the silky soft shirt – that I bought the day after I saw you wearing it in olive green on your blog in October! ๐
If I won I would get the COLLAGE ROUND-NECK TANKINI.
I love Chicos for their travel clothes and timelessness.
Hi! Loving your giveaways this month!
I’d definitely like ot try the leggings you have on. And that moto jacket would fit in my wardrobe nicely!
I’d love to give those jeggings a go!
Alison, would you consider yourself long or short waisted?
Short waisted. Petite pants usually fit me better because they have a shorter rise.
the easy curved hem tee has the perfect drape and would be great for layering with leggings!
b
Love the Gingham Striped Top with fun sleeves!
I don’t know exactly what I would get. I have not shopped at Chico’s before. I would probably stick with work basics though
I would love a new bag.
I might get that V-Neck Slub Tee in Europa Pink, along with some black and White Travelers pieces and a silver-tone Connie necklace.
I love the jeggings and jacket. Glad to see they have petite sizes.
I need new tops that can go from work to play that aren’t boring so I’ll have to check out Chicco’s.
Pants! and the Linda earrings.
I love that jacket! Especially with those shoes. Very nicely done!
Cute t shirt! I’m always on the hunt for good layering pieces and am going to check out Chico’s ASAP.
I would love to try the ankle pants and long fringe cardigan. I often donโt think of trying Chicoโs.
Their boyfriend knit blazer is right up my alley!
Loving this look. I’d go for the jewelry!
Your outfit is a great example of why I love Chicos. It looks great on someone as young as you, but with just a few tweaks, I could also wear that out fit and I am in my 60’s. They style outfits for all ages, but one of the things they do best is create clothing for the “older” body with all of its changes that still looks stylish and relevant. And they offer quality. I have pieces from Chicos that are over 5 years old.
Checked out Chico’s Instagram and I’m loving the Mixed Stitch sweater in Perennial!
I would pick up the Imperial Jade Striped Tunic and Juliet ankle pants in mahogany. GORGEOUS!
I like the so slimming ankle jeans and crops.
I love the jeggings you are rocking! And I would like to check out the petites travel collection ๐ Happy early Gal-entines Day.
I liked Chicos back in the day, but recent purchases weren’t the cousin for me (quality had decreased and prices increased). I’ll have to try again if I win.
love the jewelry!
I really like the look of the textured cardigans!
I love the jewelry! I have not shopped in Chicoโs but now I certainly will!
Those jeggings look awesome. I’d be tempted by them, jewelry and of course summer dresses with great prints.
Loving the look of those jeggings!
Just checked out the Chico’s site and there are SO many things I love. Fortunately, I also have a store in my town so I definitely need to go check it out. My mom also loves Chico’s so it is a dependable source for beautiful gifts as well!
I love Chicos and the fact they have petite sizes. I would love one of their Suede Jackets for Spring. Perfect fit.
I really want to check out these jeggings! The jewelry is fab!
I would love to have that white Packable Puffer Jacket for an upcoming vacation to Europe!
The faux suede jacket! I would love to have that!
I would be looking at pants or a blazer of some sort. though jewellery is tempting too!
Cute styling!
I’d love to check out their jewelry!
I would probably get the Zenergy wrap front tunic, A nice gray top or two would be good additions to my wardrobe. A couple of the travelers pieces in the mercer blue are also tempting.
Iโm a relatively new fan of Chicoโs, especially for work clothes. I love their travel pieces too.
I love the ZENERGY SO SLIMMING TEXTURED FRAMED LEGGINGS.

Never shopped here before! Would definitely want to start out with some
Of those great jeans and a slub tee
Chico’s has always been a reliable place for me to get a variety of clothing. I love that they’re not afraid of color in their collections.
Their ankle pants look nice, the black and white print ones caught my eye!
You look awesome. I haven’t shopped Chicos in some time but I plan to give them another look. The clothes are high quality in my opinion.
Iโd get some new cropped jeans for spring. Chicoโs jeans rarely fail me!
I would choose items from their Travelers collection. I love Chicos because they have Petite sizes that fit really well. That’s hard to find especially in pants. I would buy two pairs of the Travelers Classic Petite No Tummy Pants with the gift card.
I havenโt thought of Chicos in forever, but Iโd love to have that slub tee and necklace!
I would get the BUTTERFLY FLUTTER-SLEEVE TOP
I haven’t shopped at Chico’s in several years, but a recent interstate move has made me aware of a small mall with a fabulous local boutique, a Talbot’s, and a Chico’s right next to each other. My husband calls it the Wallet Danger Zone.
I love the jeggings you are wearing and Chicoโs jackets are always stylish!
I have an old watch from Chico’s called Silver Ox, I think, that’s silver leather that looks like metal. So cool and years later, I still love it and it still looks good. Would love to try the jacket you’re wearing!
I love their jeggings.
I think I did it! Hooray for me! Love the silver and lucite necklace!
I should really check out Chico’s again! They always hve such nice stuff.
I’m always on the lookout for blazers. I think there is something at Chico’s for me.

Ignore the double comment! It didn’t show up the first time!
The moto jacket & the jeggings look great. Would totally wear both!
Love how Chico’s has set up their website by organizing the clothing by colour! Fantastic way to see how the pieces all mix and match. Instantly drawn to the Striped Layered Effect pullover. Love all their fabulous prints.
Proof that neutrals and basics done right emphasize the person and are NOT boring. Great outfit – plus in ten years it won’t be dated one bit.
I would never have guessed those were jeggings. Now I want some for myself–they look great! I need to give Chicos a look b/c those pieces all look so pretty on you!
Love, love, love the jacket!
I love the Jeggings!
love the moto jacket!
Love the COZY STRIPED BATEAU-NECK TOP in both colors and the slub tee-shirt. There is also a great collection of jewelry that I love.
I love your outfit! On such a glowing recommendation, I would try the jeggings, the moto jacket you were styling but in the faux suede, and maybe some of the gf ankle or crop pants…in purple. What fun.
I would get the Black Label Silk Blend Tee in both colors available! ๐
The cool ombre cardigan is gorgeous! I also love the embroidered butterfly tee and the butterfly flutter-sleeve top.
I love those leggings and a cute striped tunic to wear with them!
I am loving the Zenergy neema half-zip dress!
I am loving the blue in the Traveler’s Collection. I’m heading to Thailand in a couple of months and I can definitely see wearing the micro-pleat printed pants and the paisley top. And several of the tanks from the collection as well. I need either long skirts or pants and tops with sleeves to visit the temples. These look like great options.
If I won, I would totally get that jacket! You look great, Allie!
I have had a “go-to” Chicos black wrap dress for years! I would love to try their trousers! Although those jeggings look pretty fabulous as well !
Love the Chico’s styles…..quality materials and great pieces to mix and match into our wardrobes. I want a pair of their dark jeans and cute jacket like in the blog photos….
Love those jeggings!
Thanks for the tip on the petite jeggings!
I love the whole black and white collection! My favorite is the contrast trim top – love the dramatic sleeves that still look classic.
I have loved Chicos for years because they provide stylish, on trend looks for adult women! That moto jacket is a perfect example of That! Love it.
That jacket is so good. Also, Iโm realizing I need to update my jewelry, and never thought of Chicoโs for that. Will need to check them out.
I love the slimming ankle pant in floral brigitte.
That white moto jacket would be at the top of the lust (oops, Freudian slip. Meant type list).
I would get either the cream moto jacket, I already have the brown faux leather one, which I love! Or I would get the white denim with lace peplum. Thatโs the only thing that gives me a waist! Thanks Chicoโs.
I love Chico’s. Their tops, jackets.
I have several tops and light sweaters from chicos– but that moto jacket is soo cute. I love it in the tan.
The moto jackets look fabulous!
I love Chico’s! Probably half my wardrobe comes from there. The jeggings are awesome and I find some tops that are great.
I find that Chico’s pants are the ones that fit me the best.
I love Chico’s!! So happy they have petite sizes!
I love Chico’s jeggings!!!
The Dots Keyhole Top is just what I’ve been looking for to freshen up my work wardrobe!
I’m actually currently wearing a Chico’s piece that I picked up at the thrift store!
I’ve been a little turned off by their special way of sizing, but it may be worth hitting up a store to learn more because their pieces are cute + comfortable!
I never really considered Chico’s for myself, but I think I will have to reconsider!
I love the ruffle on the puffer jacket! I never considered Chicoโs for myself but I might have to give it a try!
I love chicos!!!
I love that jacket!
I had (sadly) forgotten about Chicos, but now realize this may be the solution to my strange work wardrobe requirements. Mostly I work from home, but then have periodic intense trips where I do tons of participatory facilitation around the world. So, I need travel work clothes that are comfortable, semi-professional with a touch of funkiness, and easy to move around in. So, time to reacquaint myself with Chicos. To start, I’m coveting the travelers collection drape front cardigan in dark jade…
I would for sure get the Cool Ombre Cardigan
Chico’s has always been hit or miss for me, but this blog post makes me want to give it another try!
Love that jacket!
I would love to expand my shopping horizons and try Chicoโs petites. Iโm liking what I see!
I need jeans – I’d love the try the leggings!
Do I have to pick one? โโ๏ธ
I can always find a great jacket there…but I do love the pants!
Chicoโs jewelry is outstanding. I have a few pieces but have never tried their clothes. The gift card would get me started on a wardrobe!
I really like your outfit, so I just took a look at Chico’s website. Their Brigitte slimming shorts seem like they’d be really comfortable in the Florida heat. I’d love to give them a try!
I love Chico’s sweaters and jackets! Love this jacket Alison! It looks great on you!
I would get a fabulous jacket!
I love the ruffle-trim denim jacket! It would be perfect for my trip to Nashville in April!
Oh my goodness that necklace is divine!!
I never really looked at Chico’s, but maybe I should look again!
I was admiring a textured moto jacket I saw in the Chico’s window this weekend. I’m still thinking about it almost a week later, so I may have to order one to try on!
