alison garySunday was grey for the most part. Later in the afternoon the sun peeked out and the temps rose, but it again got gloomy.  I tried to fight the grey with a bright pink floral dress for Easter brunch, but had a trench coat at the ready for the chill.

My father was Jewish, my mom raised a Christian Scientist and Unitarian. My sister and I were raised Unitarian Universalist and recognized both holidays. We have continued that tradition in our household.

Both of these pieces arrived in my latest Gwynnie Bee box and both were winners! It's great that Gwynnie Bee now has a full size range; I can find many more pieces in smaller sizes which is great since I've slimmed down a bit lately. I have another great piece in my closet that recently came from Gwynnie Bee; I'm holding it for when the temps rise and stay up!  If you are curious about Gwynnie Bee, they now carry clothing in sizes 0-32. 1. What a very lovely outfit! So crisp and springy and pretty and blossoming-tree-like!

(Our April came with a side order of snow so I have serious pretty-dress envy.)

  2. You look beautiful, Alisonโ€”youโ€™re positively radiant! I love this dress on you. Wishing you much peace and joy for the upcoming week!

  3. Our Easter was pretty crappy so I loved seeing all the bright and pretty dresses to cheer up the day! I had no idea you had such a diverse religious background, we are just straight Christian, which is just straight up boring. I’m sure you were never lacking in exciting conversations about religion with that!

    1. LOL that is not boring! Yeah, religion was quite the topic growing up, and quite an issue with the extended family (neither side was cool with us not practicing what they practiced). But it was cool to attend a church that encouraged us to explore other religions. Many Sundays we left our church to visit other houses of worship and it is one of the best educations I could ever have asked for!
