What I Wore: ELOQUII Blocked Sleeve Wrap Dress
Another day, another ELOQUII dress! Seriously, they make some of the best dresses. They're designed to flatter curves, and have such interesting prints and/or details it's easy one-step dressing and you end up feeling polished. I've had this dress from ELOQUII for a couple months now; I've worn it to a baby shower, to brunch, to an ELOQUII event at their store in the DC area, and even have thrown it on with a pair of Rothy's flats to run errands.
Dress: Blocked Sleeve Wrap Dress c/o ELOQUII (14) | Bag: Bamboo Handle Clutch c/o ELOQUII (sold out; same bag on Rue La La) | Shoes: FRANCO Franco Sarto | Necklace: Etsy (store closed; similar) | Bracelet: Had forever (budget-friendly alternative)
This dress is machine washable and can be thrown in the dryer. In fact, I've washed and dried this dress two times already. It's not lined, but I find it opaque enough and the lack of lining makes it more comfortable on a hot and humid day. In fact, you can likely tell by my hair that the day these photos were taken it WAS hot and humid! The dress fits so well I don't even need a safety pin at the bustline. The only thing missing is pockets for it to be perfect.
I had these shoes in violet for a while now and find them incredibly comfortable for the height. I have wide feet and sandal-style shoes usually don't work for me unless they come in wide widths. These fit straight out of the box, and they don't rub on my pinky toes. I don't have any neutral heeled sandals so I decided to get a second pair of these shoes in almond. They're a bit more grey-toned/taupe than I expected but I like them and think I'll be wearing them a lot this summer. And yes, you CAN wear suede in summer. That old rule is dead and suede is a popular fabric this season!
