What I Wore: Classics from LOFT
This post is sponsored by LOFT and ShopStyle.
One of the greatest gifts from blogging is connecting with women across the globe. Over my 13 (!!!) years of blogging, I have met amazing women who have inspired me, shifted my way of thinking, and become my friends. They remind me on a regular basis to put my best foot forward and motivate me to provide the best content I can to support them in being their best selves. I sometimes have longtime readers complain that my blog has changed, but I think it's important to grow as a person, grow as a business, and change in a positive way that can impact a larger population. Thanks to you readers, I now focus on brands with a larger size range and share when a brand offers petite, tall, or special sizes.
When LOFT extended their size range up to 26, I was elated. As soon as it was available, I visited their Tyson's Corner location to see the new plus size offerings in person; those who follow me on InstaStories may recall my fitting room try-ons of several pieces. I must say I was impressed, and that night bought that season's equivalent of this blazer. Many brands create a plus size line that is a different aesthetic from their regular collection; LOFT not only used the same fabrics but most of the same silhouettes, just cut for a plus size figure.
Sweater: Striped Dolman Sweater c/o LOFT (L, available in regular and petite; click this link for the same sweater in plus sizes) | Skirt: Button Pocket Shift Skirt c/o LOFT (12, available in petite, tall, and plus sizes) | Scarf: Floral Scarf c/o LOFT | Watch: Metallic Watch c/o LOFT | Earrings: Pave Stone Drop Earrings c/o LOFT
LOFT's purpose is to inspire and connect with women to put their best selves forward every day. By extending their size range to 26 and having the pieces attractive, wearable, and fun they let a larger range of women put their best selves forward in fab fashion. It's a brand I can suggest and share on Wardrobe Oxygen knowing that they offer sizes to fit the majority of my audience. And to add to it, LOFT is bringing their plus size selection to 50 stores across the United States! Click this link to find a LOFT near you that will feature their Plus collection!
The look I'm wearing here is from LOFT, and are classic pieces that look stylish now and for seasons to come. Pair the sweater with ankle pants in a fun color, with your favorite jeans on the weekend, or do a bit of pattern mixing styling it with a floral skirt or pants. The skirt is lined and of a seasonless fabric and comes in petite, tall, regular, and plus sizes. The silhouette makes it a good option for the office and will be fantastic when the temps drop styled with a sweater, tights, and ankle booties. I appreciate how LOFT incorporates current trends but also has plenty of classic wardrobe staples that look chic for more than one season. I've been recommending LOFT on Wardrobe Oxygen for many years now; in fact, this look from 2011 also features a LOFT striped top with a black bottom from LOFT! Thank you LOFT for extending your size range and providing more style options to more women.
Love this outfit so much, so much so that I ordered the skirt today. ๐
I hope you like it as much as I do! ๐
Oh wow, you look so good Ally – so very simple and yet such an eye catcher !!!
Thanks so much Lorena!
Iโm cusp-sized and Loft has always been hit or miss for me. As in, lots of misses but Iโve had a few pieces go the distance. I was skeptical when they released their plus line but I must say Iโve been incredibly happy with the pieces Iโve pirchased. Iโve gotten some really nice pieces for work and the free shipping and returns on the plus line has been hard to beat.
That look from 2011 is my travel โuniformโ except I wear my leopard scarf! Did I put this together after seeing it on you? Iโm sure I learned that leopard is a neutral from you, so must be!
Love the stripes! I saw that sweater in Loft over the weekend but decided to hold offโfor now. Itโs super cute on you!
