Thursday: Mementoes
Today I didn't feel like wearing anything complicated, but because it was a simple palette, I felt I could carry off a lot of accessories. Another of my dad's ascots, today I held in place with a pin that belonged to my cousin, Amy. When she passed, her sister gave me her “A” jewelry and it's so nice to be able to wear them and think of/honor her. The blue and gold bracelet is called the “Emerson,” of course I loved the name and love the look of it!
This skirt is super cute! Trendy yet age appropriate. I like it alot!
I love this look! I’d been afraid of leather clothing and recently jumped in with some leather leggings, but I love the look of this pleated skirt! And the personalized accessories are so in right now, I wish I had kept my name plate from the 90’s because it would be awesome right about now. You look terrific!
How wonderful to wear your late cousin’s “A” jewelry and remember her. Your whole look today is super-cool!
I love love love this. It’s just so sassy.
I love the “good girl gone bad” vibe of the ascot mixed with leather! So cute!
Thanks, I did feel a bit like rocker schoolgirl, I almost used one of his ties but felt it would be too cliche ๐
I love how you’ve found ways to incorporate your father’s ascot!
Loving the ascot! Your dad must have been quite the stylish gentleman. I feel the need to add an ascot to my wardrobe. Such a beautiful and sentimental outfit to keep the memories of your loved ones alive!
My dad was pretty cool, rocked the leisure suits and had this fabulous polyester shirt with castles all over it that I used to wear in high school (wish I knew where it was now!). I know before he met my mom, he had a white VW Beetle convertible with red leather seats and matching red leather driving gloves!
Indeed. Your dad was a really cool guy. #thatisall
LOL yes you remember, I think you likely got many a ride in the green Beetle! ๐
I love that pin! It looks fabulous the way you styled it! I may have to start looking for pins to add to my collection!
love this, especially the “A” pin. It’s such a great piece!
