Resources for Personal Styling
Wardrobe Oxygen is a fashion blog that offers real-life style advice for grown-ass women. With a focus on over-40 style, plus size and inclusive size fashion, capsule wardrobes, petite style, and advice on dressing curves, Wardrobe Oxygen creates content to appeal to a large audience. Wardrobe Oxygen does not answer individual style questions, nor does Wardrobe Oxygen offer personal styling or shopping services. However, I do want to share some trusted resources for personal styling.
Resources for Personal Styling
However, after decades in the apparel business and writing about fashion, I have tried several styling services and worked with many personal stylists. Below is a list of personal stylists and styling services I recommend.
Recommended Personal Stylists
Over the years I have personally used, collaborated with, and gotten to know many personal stylists. Here is a list of personal stylists who provide in-person and virtual services:
- Lani Inlander and Kyle Dunphy of Real Life Style (DC, Maryland, Virginia)
- Robin Fisher of Polished Image (DC, NYC, San Francisco, and virtual)
- Sylvia Colella (DC, Maryland, Virginia)
- Angie Cox of YouLookFab (Seattle)
- Paul Julch of Urbanite Suburbanite (San Francisco and virtual)
- Bridgette Raes (NYC and virtual)
- Liz Thogerson of Rise Styling (Pittsburgh and virtual)
- Heensie Low of Heensie Personal Styling (virtual, with a focus on body neutrality)
Recommended Online Styling Services
I have personally tried or members of the Wardrobe Oxygen community have tried and reviewed several online styling and shopping services. Here are my Stitch Fix review posts, and here is a Short Story Box review. I have also done a Nuuly review for women over 40 and been a member of Rent the Runway off and on for many years. This is my opinion of subscription box programs like Stitch Fix, but your experience may be different.
When it comes to online styling services I do recommend; I have had a positive experience with Fashivly. Here is my Fashivly review as a woman over 40. Member of the Wardrobe Oxygen community have also had positive experiences working with Next Level Wardrobe, which focuses on styling for the plus size body.
