This was a speedy morning; we had a power failure last night when we went to bed. I figured we would be fine since I have battery back-up in my alarm clock but I guess the battery decided to die at this very time. So it was rush rush rush to get myself dressed, Emerson together, her bag ready (she spends Wednesdays with my mom), and all three of us out the door. Got a couple pics taken and was only four minutes late for work (not a big deal today as that I usually stay late on Wednesdays).
My husband was quite the shutterbug this morning, even capturing me getting Emerson into her car seat. I like this picture because it shows that even though Emerson is two and a half and tall for her age, we sill have her car seat rear-facing. She's perfectly comfortable (she usually sits with her legs crossed), and we know that she is safer than if she was front-facing. This video explains the benefit of keeping your child rear-facing for as long as possible. When we moved up from an infant car seat to a convertible, we specifically chose one that had a high weight/height limit for rear-racing so that it would work for her as long as possible. I don't like to preach on here, but if you have a little one, please consider keeping them rear-facing in the car for as long as it is safe with your car seat.
I love the dress!
My baby isn’t even two yet and we get all kinds of flack about still rear facing. But, we get comments about MOST of the choices we make (extended breastfeeding, co-sleeping, not spanking, etc).
So cute! I think I can totally recreate this whole outfit! Thanks for the inspiration.
I love the hair, it makes you look fresh and young!
Where I live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, I’m sure there is a law regarding car seats. But I’ve never seen it enforced and it’s very common to see children bouncing about in the back or seated on mum’s knee in the front seat. That scares me to bits.
You look fantastic! I love the scarf with this!
My daughter just turned four and I heard that in our state, there is no law stating that children four and over have to be in a car seat. REALLY?! That makes zero sense to me. Zero.
Come take a look inside A Working Mom’s Closet
I really like how you styled your hair !
My husband said I looked like a flight attendant today ๐
I had to dry my hair fast and it seemed to want to be semi-straight; there are a couple Bobby pins in there and a fine misting of Elnett ๐
I don’t know if it is the navy or the side pony tail, but you look ready for a game on tennis! I like that! When I do a swept pony, I have so many frizzies and flyaway I look crazy.
Love your hair!
