How do I love Dobbin Clothing? Let me count the ways. Actually if you just click on this link you can count the times I've featured this brand on Wardrobe Oxygen. Sure, sure I got this dress for free but I wear Dobbin Clothing on a weekly basis because the brand fits, flatters, and has good people and good ethics behind it. I'm short, I'm soft, I'm overweight with big breasts and a big booty yet for some reason Dobbin dresses fit me as well as my tall slimmer pear-shaped friend and my average height buff athletic build friend. There's something about the high quality ponte knit, the strategically placed seams, or maybe the amazing women behind the brand that just make these dresses love women's bodies. To add to the awesomeness of this dress, these pictures were taken at 6pm and I put this dress on at 6am. This is how the dress looked after 12 hours of wear.
This is not a sponsored post. Dobbin does send me clothing from time to time because we've built a relationship over the years, but the choice for me to feature it in this outfit post is all mine. I got home from work last Monday, checked myself out in the mirror and was amazed I didn't look like a disheveled mess. Fluffed the hair, reapplied lipstick and told Karl to get the camera!

That is just darn cute. I love it! I’m glad to know you haven’t had an issue with shrinkage. I have a ponte dress from Loft that I love but even though I air dry, it is definitely smaller than when I first bought it.
You’ve convinced me to try it – I’m popping over now.
Do you wash this dress in the machine? I’ve had Ponte dresses shrink a full inch even when washing in delicate cycle with cold water and laying flat to dry! I’m very scared of buying another ponte dress only to lose an inch when washed.
I have washed all my Dobbin dresses on the gentle cycle and lined dry without any shrinking or fading. I too have had ponte shrink when I bought at Old Navy, Talbots, and random brands at TJ Maxx, etc. and my Christopher & Banks dress shrunk a hair, but haven’t had any Dobbin shrink.
That looks great and I’m eyeing a dress on their site. Can you tell me whether you think their sizing runs true? I generally wear a 10 petite, they don’t seem to have petite on the site, but the dress on you looks perfectly fitted, and as I recall you’re about my height ? (5’3″) thanks!
This dress is a 14, I usually wear a 14 in other brands as well (Talbots, Gap, Halogen, etc.). Some of the styles have been a bit long on me (especially the wrap dresses), but the shift styles fit like a glove!
You look so wonderful! Hard to believe the photo is after work rather than just stepping out in the morning. Dobbin dresses are so elegant and look like they cost way more than they do. No, they are not inexpensive, but I think they look better than so-called designer dresses that are many hundreds of dollars.
I keep hoping that Dobbin will expand their sizes on the plus end. Every once in awhile I look at their website to see if they have added sizes. Not so far, but I will continue to hope that they will. When/if they do, my hand would move so fast to get my credit card out, all you would see is a blur.
