Festie Frame of Mind
The weather is getting warmer, we've bought tickets for Forecastle and Americanarama and I can't help but be in a festie frame of mind. InStyle Swimwear was kind enough to send me this fabulous tie-dye maxi dress from Seafolly and I just KNOW it will be worn to at least one festival or outdoor concert this summer! Lightweight cotton, comfortable, and adjustable straps to boot! I was also thinking it would look cute with my denim shirt tied over it, and I also liked it cinched with a vintage brown leather belt (expect to see that combo on the blog later in the summer!).
Update on the hair: what I am doing to get it like this is I am applying Paul Mitchell Surf Spray and Rusk Thick on my hair, blowdrying it in a haphazard manner or letting it air dry.ย I then put big sections in my curling iron, curling away from the face.ย Finger comb, and then a bit more of the surf spray to have it piecey and messy and more casual.ย So far, so good and it works well in the heat.
Seriously, your hair looks fantastic! I love it! I really like dresses like this – they look really nice, but I think people look incredibly comfortable when they wear them, too!
Absolutely love this look!
You look so cute! Love your hair, the shades and the dress!!
Love this look from to head to toe!! The hair is fabulous and the perfect accompaniment to this fun, bohemian look. Nothing screams summer more to me than a relaxed maxi dress, and this one is great!!

What a cute dress! Wanted to let you know that I used one of your outfits as my inspiration photo on my blog – feel free to check it out! http://everydaypolished.blogspot.com/ Always love what you do on here!
Your hair looks great! I love it like this!
I bought aviator sunglasses the other day. You were my inspiration.
Looks great! Help a “would love to wear a dress like that” friend out…what kind of bra do you wear w/ that? Braless isn’t an option for me and strapless ones never fit properly.
I totally was against dresses like this until I went for a professional bra fitting and for the first time in my adult life found a strapless bra that was comfortable and supportive. It has been a wardrobe and life changer! https://www.wardrobeoxygen.com/2011/07/proper-bra-fitting-my-experience.html
I was wondering what kind of bra to wear for this dress! I’ve got plenty in the boob department, and I’ve never found a strapless bra that doesn’t make my boobs feel like a rubber tire has slipped to around my waist. I’ll check out your recommended bra for this type of situation!
Replace bra straps with pretty ribbon that matches the dress.
Cute, cute, CUTE!! I NEED that dress! LOL @ Kentucky gas station.
SO good…and the hair is amazing!
