Friday Sale Alert: 3/27/20
I'm not sure if this will be a weekly post, but for now I want to keep the sales separate from Weekend Reads and there are so many good sales going down I don't want you to miss out! Below are the best sales through the weekend – my picks from them, the promo codes, and any shopping tips I've learned along the way. I always welcome you to share your hits and misses and any sales I've missed in the comments!
Nordstrom: Up to 40% off!
Nordstrom is offering up to 40% off everything from Women and Men's Fashion to Shoes and Bestsellers. In addition, Nordstrom is offering 5 points per dollar for members and 10 points per dollar for cardmembers until March 29! While Nordstrom is known for fashion, they also have amazing electronics, homegoods, and even items for your pets. And don't assume Nordstrom is expensive; most of the items featured below are under $100 and many are under $40.

Old Navy: Up to 60% Off!
Old Navy has up to 60% off items, prices as marked so no promo code you need to track. Old Navy is good for casual basics, clothing to wear now and come summer on weekends. A few items that caught my eye:
printed cardigan | pretty perfect jeans in three lengths | highly-rated t-shirt | cropped pocket leggings in three lengths | classic striped tee | faux-wrap dress in 3 lengths and 4 colors | beachy pullover | linen pants in 3 lengths and 7 colors | my favorite length of shorts | terry joggers in 4 colors | classic chambray shirt (denim on denim is hot this season) | maxi dress in 5 colors
Talbots: 40% Off!
Talbots has 40% off your purchase and free shipping. No promo code is needed. Some of the great items they have in New Arrivals:
Breton top | poplin shirtdress | bucket bag | suede slides | gingham bag | slim ankle jeans (some of my favorite denim) | chic one-piece from Miraclesuit | tie-waist Tencel shorts | gold sandals | chic shorts in one of the hottest colors for summer | packable straw tote | striped tee
Athleta: 25% Off!
Athleta rarely has sales so this is pretty fantastic! Use promo code GOODVIBES for the discount through the 30th plus free shipping. I type this while still wearing my Athleta workout clothes from this morning's session. High quality, decent size range, fun colors and lots of practical innovation (oh and petite and tall in some styles) make Athleta one of my favorite destinations for both activewear and everyday wear. I shared a lot of their joggers since we've discussed them so much recently.
dress with built-in support (3 lengths, 3 colors) | pocket 7/8 leggings | post om jogger | crossbody/belt bag (3 colors) | pocket capris (3 colors, 3 lengths) | canopy wrap (2 colors) | momentum tank (9 colors) | Farallon cargo crop (3 colors, 3 lengths) | zephyr tank (4 colors) | triumph printed hoodie | Venice jogger (2 colors) | Sayulita jumpsuit (2 colors) | Brooklyn wide-leg crop (3 colors) | Farallon jogger (3 colors) | reversible sherpa pullover | salutation jogger (3 colors)
So many wonderful choices! I don’t really need anything, but I’m going to make a purchase to support you in some small way. Keep up the great work.
I’ve reread your pieces on how you make money to try and research myself, but I didn’t find my exact question. Since Athleta, Banana Republic, and Old Navy are sisters, if I click one of your links to one of them, but then shop all three stores in same cart, will you get paid? Or am I better off making three separate purchases by clicking through your links to each site individually? I have some planned purchasing to do at each of these stores, and I would like my purchases to benefit you as much as possible. Three purchases don’t bother me at all; that’s just not how I usually do it. Thanks!
Good question! You can do just one click (I do it myself, they are one of the retailers where I can use my own links!). THANK YOU.
I’m not seeing the 40% off at Nordstrom. Anyone else?
I am sorry I created it before it was actually on the site. It is up to 40% and prices are as listed. I have updated the post with clearer wording. On the home page, Nordstrom breaks down the categories: https://bit.ly/2UcyFPs
This format is great! I like this for Fridayโs & it just seems like a very easy way to find items. Thanks for doing this & Happy Friday!
Thanks Lee, I am glad you like it!
Thanks. The color combinations look so nice and you have a beautiful and tempting presentation. Many things are appealing but I have lost the urge to shop and acquire. I am very content with what I have. I think part of it is just being at home, alone with my loved ones and my things. It feels great but I suspect I will return to raw consumerism when things return to normal.
I know that I am very privileged that I still have a job, savings a nice home etc. Realizing this, has surprisingly turned down my desire to shop for things I love.
I totally get this, and it’s why I am making this a separate post so people can scroll right by. I felt weird doing it, but I have received a lot of feedback from those who do want to continue to shop so I’ll keep it dedicated to a specific post versus infusing it into other content.
I go back and forth on the shopping issue – I’m very lucky in that I work remotely in normal times, my husband’s job is safe, and we have savings. I’m also in the situation of having been working out consistently for about 14 months now, and I currently have almost no warm weather clothes that fit. I am limiting my shopping, because for me it’s the right thing to do, but I do need to have clothes to wear (and that I feel good in) so I’m doing what I can to order from small businesses or use links from bloggers I know and like to help support them. So thanks for posting this, it’s very helpful!
I love that some items in your carousels are in my favorites/shopping carts or are already in the way to my house! Lol!
Great minds! <3
Sooooo tempting.
Only buy if you need or are in a financially secure situation now and for several months from now. <3
