Friday through Monday
Friday I worked from home and spent the day in a dark red nursing tank from Bravado, black yoga pants from Old Navy and a black hoodie from Gap.
Saturday, we had some friends stop by. They have a son who is six months older than Emerson, and they got to meet one another. It was pretty cute so I just HAD to share with you all!
That evening, we went to the house of my best friend to hang out. Emerson went along and had a blast all until the very end of the night, but it was her bedtime (and bad Mommy forgot her pacifier at home).
All Saturday I wore my dark orange scoopneck cotton sweater from Lands End and my black ponte trousers from Old Navy (black leather city boots). No pics of this outfit, though you can see my bracelet and cuff of my shirt in the picture of me holding Emerson up to meet her new friend…
Sunday I went with my sister to assist the same best friend in finding a wedding dress. She had already hit up some locations closer to DC, so we decided to visit Betsy Robinson's and Bridal by Elena, both closer to Baltimore. We found great dresses at both, had a FAR FAR FAR better experience at Betsy Robinson's (which is the place where where I found my wedding dress in 2003 though I ordered it online for 50% less) and possibly found The Dress (or at least a contender) on our trip.
I wore a magenta dolman sleeve sweater from Nordstrom's sale rack and my black ponte maternity pants from Old Navy. Hair was washed and conditioned in a rush and dried just as fast. Makeup is the standard, except I used black shadow with an angle brush to look like liner, and wore Clinique's Longwear lipstick in Beauty.
Monday was not a good day. Not sure why, but I only was able to sleep about three hours. Emerson slept through the night (Murphy's Law) but I had major insomnia. I went to work with second day hair (luckily it looked decent), a black 3/4 sleeve scoop tee from Gap, the same pants worn on Sunday, my black city boots, silver hoops and cuff bracelet, a quickly applied foundation, powder, mascara and Clinique's Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. No picture because I was running late.
I just love that she has a little friend! Too cute for words. ~Britta
nice cut to that sweater, and the color is GAW-jus!
