Dress: Ann Taylor (bought last spring)
Shoes: Sofft
Pearls: Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (two different necklaces)
I had a major pearl kick a couple years ago (seen here and through much of '06 and '07). Lately I haven't felt like a pearl sort of person. Seemed too… obvious. Almost like a costume. Then I saw these champagne-colored pearls at the Nordstrom sale and though it was a nice alternative to the brighter pearls in my stash. I thought they would also look lovely mixed with gold chains, and would really go well with the camel, tweed, and warm feminine looks that are showing up for this fall. Almost makes me yearn for days where I can wear a fuzzy sweater!
Great necklace layering. It looks oh so classy with the LBD.
You can never go wrong with a great wrap dress and a string of pearls. You look lovely!
Thanks everyone! ๐
First thought – you look AMAZING in that dress! Had to share.

Haha, I have had a hard time finding fabulous dresses this year. However looking at the fall looks, I think I will have more luck once the weather cools. ๐
Why are all the dresses of yours that I covet from previous seasons???;-)
I love, love, love this outfit! You look tres chic – very simple, but a lot of impact. I really love reading your blog, and have only recently begun commenting. A lot of the things you talk about really resonate with me, like the comment about quality over quantity in the closet. I like have a few really good choices that I know I like and look good in. On that note, I’ve notice a lot of people belting lately, and I was wondering what your take on that look is. I am curvier with a short waist, and I just can’t seem to get it right. I try it, but something just seems off when I do it. Any advice or previous posts on this topic?
What a lovely outfit. The pearls are a nice touch!
love those pearls. you’ve got a great smile! xo
That is a VERY cute dress on you and the pearls look very stylish as well. I have to say, along with cute outfits…your house (from what is seen in your pictures) is beautiful! Happy Monday!
