Lands' End… really? Really, this skirt is Lands' End? Reason #4,727 why I love that company! I wish you could see it in person, the elegant boucle fabric, the teensy sequins strategically placed for elegant shimmer that can easily dress up or down, the great fit, the quality details. I would have never known that Lands' End was carrying such festive yet chic pieces if it weren't for Gwynnie Bee! This skirt arrived in my latest Gwynnie Bee box and I really hate sending it back because I see such versatility. Since I was wearing it to work, I toned it down with a chambray shirt, but love the idea of it with a crisp white shirt, a black turtleneck and tights, or for a holiday party with a silky blouse in gray, a shade of blue, or an unexpected contrast like teal or berry.
There's still a few days to take advantage of Gwynnie Bee's free trial promotion. Through November 30, 2012 if you sign up for Gwynnie Bee and mention Wardrobe Oxygen you get a free, 30-day trial subscription (up to three items at a time). Cancel on or before your 30 days are up and you won’t be charged a thing (Gwynnie Bee will need their clothes back though).
This skirt just arrived in the mail today. Love it! And yes, I was surprised it was LE & so sparkly, but I can’t wait to wear it to a holiday party.
This skirt finally convinced me to sign up for Gwynnie Bee. I am wearing my first outfit today and I love it! Plus, the packaging the clothes arrive in is so darn cute. I can’t wait to wear my other 2 items.
Yay, glad you like it!!!
I hope you don’t mind answering, what size are you wearing in the skirt? I am an inbetweenie, I can go on the high end of regular sizes and save the $10 on Landsend or go with the low end of women’s and pay $10 more. I don’t really mind paying more for a better fit, but with skirts it is sometimes advantageous for me to go smaller because i like to wear them high-waisted. So when I go by the customer reviews i end up with skirts that are too big because i like a smaller waist than i guess average women do. i bought a 16W skirt at Eloquii and it was too large…so I’d love to buy this skirt, but not sure about sizing.
I find lands’ end runs a bit big, this is a 12 regular and fits perfectly, the 14 was too large. I usually wear a 12 in most retailers. Hope that helps!
I love that skirt! Also I wanted to thank you, as I have just signed up for Gwennie Bee! Fun alternative to wearing the same things day in and day out! It gives me an opportunity to explore other styles and colors without the commitment! Thank you… Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
Yay! And Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
LOVING this combo – that chambray really makes the shimmer more work-wearable – and the classic lines are just perfect!

I love this look! That necklace goes perfectly with that skirt!

I love how you used the chambray shirt to de-glamed the the skirt. I need to find more ways to use my chambray shirt more often. This is a great look!

I hope you don’t think this is inappropriate or spammy — but Lands End is having a 40% off any single item sale, and shipping is free over $50. I don’t work for Lands End, I promise! But you did say you’d hate to send it back…
Not spammy at all, thank you!!
Love that skirt. I’ll have to add it to my Gwynnie Bee closet when it appears on the website. I should be getting my first shipment today (including a Lands’ End dress).
You look gorgeous! I really need to get a chambray shirt. 🙂
This looks fabulous on you, and I love the Gwynnie Bee idea – such a great way to find pieces you would never have found otherwise, and a little versatility in your wardrobe without all the cost!
I love Gwynnie Bee and am rocking one of their looks right now. Thanks for the tip! I joined last month and love it and now just got to get to the UPS drop off to send back my pieces for my next box.
That skirt is gorgeous! Who knew Land’s End made such pretty, sparkly things?
