Oh the heat, with the heat index today feels like 120 degrees. Can you tell by my sad hair and gleaming nose? So tempting to complain on here, but then I think of the Facebook status my friend Kim had the other day:
I was going to complain about how hot it is.. then I realized that at least 1) it isn't 109 degrees; 2) I'm not 5,700 miles from home; 3) I'm not dressed in a full BDU uniform and helmet and carrying 70+ lbs.; and 4) there is very little chance that anyone will shoot at me or that I might drive over a bomb in the road today. Thanks to all who serve!
Puts it into perspective. I also think of all of those who do not have air conditioning or all the cold water they wish to drink. So yes, my hair looks dreadful and I am now rocking a bit of chub rub, but I feel very lucky for what I have this summer… though I have a feeling I will be spending the majority of this summer weekend indoors! What are your weekend plans?
I love this look on you. I am now off to search ebay for a similar dress!
You look so good! Loving the black/camel brown combo.

Oh thank you! ๐
I just looked back to your posts from this time last year, right around the time you started WW and the transformation is amazing. You are such an inspiration and you continue to look more fabulous by the day.
xx
You look fantastic! ๐ I love this look on you.
I swear you get smaller everytime I see you! Great perspective by the way ๐
It may have been hot out there, but you looked so cute! That dress+belt look terrific on you.
So cute and chic, Allie. And I love your friend’s quote. We do take a lot for granted in our comfortable lives!
Oh, Allie, you look fantastic!
Hey- my son served overseas earlier this year. It grounds you in a hurry. Thank you for thinking of them.
You look soooo good. Truly. Amazing.
And thanks for the reminder about our soldiers.
We are on our 20th day over 100 here in DFW. But, like you said, it could always be worse.
This weekend we are redoing our master closet. We are putting in shelves and taking out one rack. This means I HAVE to go through my closet and toss some things. We will be staying inside for sure!
Look at you miss skinny girl!! You look awesome. I love that necklace too. So chic!
Cute dress!
