It's raining, it's pouring… I don't even know why I tried to do my hair today because it fell before I even got to take these pictures. I made really great beachy waves with my flat iron – this is a trick I have been wanting to do for a while but my hair has never been long enough to really get the effect. I will have to do this again on a non-humid and non-rainy day. As for my bangs, it's so tempting to cut them again but I really think I want them grown out for the sweaty summer months. Right now they are at that weird stage where they look funky sideswept and funky straight. Will have to keep playing with textures and maybe the occasional Bobby pin to get a good look through this transition.
I wrote about this on Twitter this morning, but I am LOVING this orangey-red color that Ann Taylor currently has in their stores. I bought the scoop tee in this shade a couple weeks ago, and got the tank last week. It's the same color as my Banana Republic skirt, and I think a great color to pair with cobalt, purple, kelly green, and hot pink. And BTW ignore the description of it being cotton ribbed – this is a far more refined knit than tank tops from Old Navy. It's a microrib that gives it a nice finish that work for the office.
Thanks Brittany, and you’re not missing much. It’s raining again today and should continue all week ๐
LOL, thanks Netty!
Thanks Andrea!
Thanks Callandra, means a lot as that I adore your sense of style!
Thanks Kat!
LOL, glad I didn’t have the pose with my hands on both hips! SUPER ALLIE!!! ๐
I love the saturated colors – you’re like a superhero!
Love the color combo! You look awesome and professional.
Problem is these shoes aren’t wearable for long periods of time and being a city employee I usually walk up to a mile a day. ๐
This is an excellent outfit! Love the rainy photos too! Can’t even remember what “live” rain looks like these days!! ๐

That orangie red is a favorite color of mine too! At least your outfit brightened up the day for sure ๐

I love how you look so ready to get out of the rain! I love the red against the bright blue – so fresh even in dreary weather!
Way to color blog! You’ve got it down to a “T”
I love how the patent black belt brings a little bit of a 60’s vibe to the entire outfit. Great look!
xo,
Netty

Allie, you look lovely! I’ve been wanting to mention how much taller and thinner you look when you avoid those awful booties. They cut you off and shorten your legs, not to mention the ankle muffin tops. Please stick with this type of shoe as it actually flatters your legs instead of fighting against them.
Good question, I got it in the store. They had it and an orange one next to one another on a table. The scoop tee is called Cherry Tomato in the same color so I guess it is the same…
Allie, what Ann Taylor color is that tank? “Cherry Red”?
