What a yucky morning here in the DC area – rainy, cold, dreary. My hair is not a happy camper today, it desperately wants to part in the middle, feather, and frizz.
I was originally wearing my Cole Haan booties but as I walked out my front gate, my heel cap popped off. I rushed inside to find an alternative – my Miss Sixty booties made this outfit look a bit too Real Housewives, I didn't want to wear the same pumps from yesterday, so I decided to try the leopard pumps. Think it's a fun pop of color with this ensemble!
I am SO excited for tomorrow – having a Girls' Night Out of dinner and a show with some of the most awesome women I know. We're going to see Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears at the Black Cat. DC folks, if you're going to this show, let me know and maybe we can meet up!
LOVE the look and you look great; those trouser pants are TOTALLY calling my name!
Thanks so much!
One of my fave outfits…the blue ruffles + leopard heels=killer!
yeah, hot stuff. ๐

Oooh good point! I may have to go shopping this weekend! ๐
I think you should – as long as it’s not too volumnous, it should work on you – and it would show people how to do a maxi if you’re petite.

Awesome! I’m looking forward to it.
Gorgeous!
Great outfit! The shoes really give it personality. The color looks great on you. Love it!
WOW! You look STUNNING!!!! I love the outfit, colors, fit, cut, etc. but you look AMAZING!
Too funny, someone asked me this yesterday too! I actually can’t wear any hosiery with pumps because I walk right out/slip in the shoes. What I do is put a pair of Footpetals in each pair. These give my feet grip so they don’t slide, add cushioning, and help with sweat too. ๐
The leopard pumps were a perfect last minute addition. I am loving this look from head to toe. I am also inspired to go out and try Gap trousers again.
You look so chic and SKINNY!! You go girlie!
That color is fabulous on you!!
In that first pic, I thought it was a maxi skirt you were wearing instead of trousers – and I really liked it! (I like the actual outfit too, was just surprised and delighted by the idea of a maxi on you)
Love the leopard with the black and blue!

You know, I went back and looked and it does look like you’re wearing a maxi skirt in the first pic, and it looks fabulous. Therefore, I think you should purchase one.
I do love maxi dresses… I may have to put a maxi skirt on my list. It’s funny, I usually think of maxis as not work-appropriate but then I wear short skirts. I need to change my thinking with the new crop of maxis out this spring.
I will soon be doing a review of a company that has nude fishnets and other fabulous hosiery. Should be next week!

You are stunning, my dear! That cobalt ruffled top and leopard shoes are just awesome worn together. xxx
Hi there-love your outfit and the shoes were a fabulous choice to go with it x

Well played Allie. Well played indeed. Love the leopard pumps. I almost did the same thing myself today. I read on a blog yesterday that leopard shoes don’t go with anything, therefore they go with everything. I’m swallowing that kool-aid.
Northeast Chic, I’m the one who asked that question of Allie yesterday. For pants, I have a cute pair of knee highs (I know, right?) that are actually nude fishnet. Surprisingly, they keep my feet and ankles warm (I’m wearing them today and it was snowing when I left for work), are nude enough so it looks like you’re wearing nothing, and if it does look like you’re wearing something, it’s fun because it’s fishnet. I think I got them at a department store many years ago, but you could probably get them online (We Love Colors maybe?).

Allie – You are looking fabulous! Each day I pop on and I swear you get smaller and smaller!! I have this shell, love the pop of color! Keep up the amazing work!
You look SO GREAT! And the outfit is my favorite ever. Wow, you are so inspirational. Thanks for the encouragement. If you can make such a big change, I can too.
I thought you were wearing a long skirt in the first pic!
Thanks for following my baby blog ๐
I love your blog and especially love the look-books!
I had to put the ‘blogger’s collection’ in my notebook!

That color is fabulous on you!!
I bought that shirt and promptly returned it as it made me feel / look like Cookie Monster. You, however, look awesome!
I can’t believe the leopard pumps weren’t your first choice! They look purposefully awesome ๐ Also bright blue is kind of amazing on you.
The addition of the leopard pumps is perfect!!

You look fantastic! My eyes were immediately drawn to the shoes!!!
I can never wear belts the awesome way you do. I would ask to meet you if I ever get to DC, but then I would be afraid I wouldn’t be dressed well enough!!
You look amazing! You are rocking this look!
Great outfit! You can really pull of bright colors combined with black, somehow I can never seem to get that look to work on myself. And those shoes – perfect!
That cobalt color looks great on you, and the leopard heels are PERFECT!

You look fantastic! You can never go wrong with leopard print and I love the blue blouse! I’m wearing bright blue tights today. Great minds. ๐
I’ve always *loved* black with cobalt. And the leopard shoes are the icing on the cake. Talk about a happy fashion accident!
You look lovely- that blue hue is fabulous!

Okay, question….tell me how to wear pumps in regard to socks etc…do you just go with bare feet? Do you wear trouser socks? My feet feel icky with nothing on them. I can sport them with skirts and tights, but I’m at a loss with pants. Help ?!
Gorgeous!
This looks fantastic! I love the color of the top–perfect for you.
LOVE the top and the shoes, and you look so slim! x
If I had a dime for every time we dressed alike, I bet I could buy another pair of leopard-print shoes! ๐
Wearing my leopard print shoes today too. Great minds!
WOW! You look STUNNING!!!! I love the outfit, colors, fit, cut, etc. but you look AMAZING!
