Tonight Ann Taylor is having an event to celebrate the new concept store in DC, so another Ann outfit! Not too hard, since so much of my wardrobe is from this brand!
Speaking of Ann Taylor's new concept stores, I captured a few images of their newest DC location on Monday night. Ann Taylor invited us DC fashion bloggers to their shop after-hours for a private shopping event, champagne and cupcakes, and a brief fashion show. Here's some pics of what the new Ann Taylor stores look like:
I really like it – very clean, very white and crisp (and how awesome are those chandeliers?). The clothes really stand out in this new style of store. As a previous visual merchandiser, I can see that it will also be easy to merchandise – little nooks so you can create specific color and theme stories in each room, a runway of sorts in the front of the store – mannequins that display current fashion, but also draw the shopper directly to the jewelry display. Very open, very appealing to the shopper. And the fitting room area is fabulous – feels like a high-end boutique with the benches, open space, and accessories right there to try on at the large mirrors.
Me too!
The jewel tones have been hot this fall, and I am thrilled that blue has gained steam – I feared a whole winter of red, and while I love red, I don’t really like wearing it.
Yay puffy sleeves! That shirt is so joyful and whimsical ๐ What a great midweek pick-me-up.
It looks like the new Ann Taylor store is beautiful. I’m with you on those chandeliers. I’m a sucker for a nice crystal chandelier, though. I would put one in every room of my house if my fiance let me.

That bright blue seems to be the color this season. Are you seeing that?
Me too! This location isn’t as close as another shop – can’t wait to see my favorite AT all glammed out!
Love the look of the store. Can’t wait to see mine look like this.
Sorry I won’t see you, though i hope we will finally meet soon!
Leather and puff sleeves! What’s not to love? Sorry I can’t make it out tonight–have a great time!
Thanks!
Ummm, how much do I LOVE those puff sleeves? Super fab!
LOL when I know I will have to do a lot of walking I wear these shoes. Also, I have few shoes that look great with tights (I personally don’t like the look of most pumps with tights). I have an event after work and got here early, so it’s my comfy booties! ๐
Allie, what I noticed first was your footwear!! Those booties are going to fall apart by the end of the season if you don’t give them a rest LOL.
The AT store looks very nice. I love a good fitting room. I always remember the first time I went in a Neiman-Marcus fitting room: it had such a warm, comfortable atmosphere–like getting changed in your best friend’s mother’s guest room–and you felt that as soon as you looked in the mirror, you’d be happy with what you saw.
