I know I said I had a hard time with Ann Taylor's current collection. Well I went to Ann Taylor to return some of the misses I ordered and ended up leaving with this outfit! I love ballet-style wrap sweaters – they are so figure flattering and are a great layer with dresses. I can see myself wearing this sweater again with white jeans or cropped pants. And this skirt is so breezy, it would be adorable come summer with a simple ribbed tank and flat sandals! Oh Ann Taylor, I just can't quit you!

And yes, the pictures are bigger.  I have always gone with the easy-breezy Blogger “XL” for my photos but thanks to a conversation with Real Girl Runway and Comme Coco at Friday's NOVA Fashion Week event, I figured out a just-as easy-breezy way to make them a bit larger.  What do you think?

  1. Larger pics are perfect – because blogs are basically a visual medium. And speaking of visual- you are a visual feast in this coral monoblocked ensemble. Delish like a cantaloupe the whole flow of the sweater, the dress and the detail of the shoes are omg-kind-of-awesome. Well done, lady! Well done!

  3. Thank you for that feedback! I may play around with this – I do know not everyone looks at blogs on big monitors. Stay tuned, I may keep them this size or may change a bit. Again, thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Since you asked….actually, the bigger pictures don’t work as well for me because the vertical shots are now too tall to fit on my laptop screen.  I have to scroll up and down and can’t see the whole outfit at once. I do love the color of this outfit, though!

  6. I can’t do it with past posts where I don’t have the original because it gets fuzzy, I could only do with the posts where I still had the originals on my hard drive. What I am doing is in PicMonkey, I just choose 600 for the width of the photo, and it will automatically figure out the height. Then save, and load here via Blogger at the original size. I guess I could go into Picasa or wherever Blogger hosts my photos and change past posts but I’m just too lazy ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. Are you resizing each photo individually to fit the max for your blog?  I’ve been doing this manually and wondering if there is an easier way!

  9. This is the best coral outfit I’ve seen in a long time, beautiful! I have to see if there’s an Ann Taylor somewhere in Europe. The larger photos are very inspiring!

  11. Love those shoes.

Speaking of photos, I have got to figure out how to do the bokeh effect with my camera (older Canon Digital Rebel). All the talk of apertures always makes me think it’s going to be too complicated.

  13. Love the bigger pictures and really love that sweater! I so wish I could find a sweater that style to work on my long torso–the wrap is never in the right place.

  17. I love this look. I love it so much, and it kind of surprises me. It’s just pretty. It’s feminine and delicate, but not totally impractical. You’ve taken a trendy color and put together the perfect girl outfit. I want to scoop up every piece and replicate this to the last detail.

  19. I like the larger photos-I can see the distinction between the different shades of coral and the knit details of the sweater! Lovely color and the shoes match perfectly!

  23. Coral! one of my favorite colors, it’s a lovely outfit. Bigger pics are ok, you give us a better look of the outfits.
As usual, you look very nice, have a great day!

  25. I don’t use Photoshop, so it took some figuring out, but PicMonkey makes it super easy to save at the right size and then load as original size ๐Ÿ™‚ As for Blogger’s scheduling, it works like 50% of the time, I don’t trust it.

  26. Love the bigger pics. Glad you started resizing! Unfortunately, the few bloggers I reached out to for help wouldn’t respond to me so I had to figure it out myself. For me, it’s just a matter of removing the width and height settings in HTML that Blogger imposes. I also make sure when I resize my pics in photoshop that they fall within the margins constraints of my layout. Now if I can just figure out how to post automatically (I’ve attempted twice with Blogger’s scheduling feature to no avail. followed everything I’ve read but Blogger just refuses to cooperate.) rather than manually then I’ll be all set!

  28. Normally I just read and lurk on the blog, but Oh. Em. Gee. Those shoes are completely fabulous. I’ve been pondering the two-tone sandal for a while, and I may just need to go back and get them now.

You’ve made up my mind. I’ll ask the Dillard’s shoe associate to send you a thank-you note.

  30. I ran into AT this weekend to grab my mom (and well, me!) some tee’s while they were BOGO 1/2 off, and the SA was wearing that cardigan but in the lime color. It looked great. I really wish I had looked for it, but I was a bit rushed because Allie needed a nap. It looks a bit longer on you than it did on her–did you get petite or regular size? Thanks!
