I shared these pants from the Black woman-owned fashion brand Evryday Jane in my Friday Shop post. These are the kind of pants you buy not because you’re trying to whittle your waist or “flatter your figure” but because they are unique and fun and architectural while also being super comfy. Oh, and I have… Continue Reading Evryday Jane Nia Volume Pants
Hey everyone! Sorry I have been MIA, I had training at work yesterday and no computer time. So this weekend was pretty great – fun events and gorgeous weather. Saturday started with yoga as usual (no pic, black knit herum pants from C.enne C. Couture, white scoop tee from Gap), then ran a few errands… Continue Reading This Weekend
The days are blurring together and with it, the outfits. Sometimes it’s bedtime and I realize I never captured my outfit. And to be honest, some days are the same outfit, just with different underwear and occasionally a different base layer. But this week is also one where I got a little more adventurous with… Continue Reading What I Wore Last Week
Friday was a casual day – I wore my yellow and gray striped cardigan from Gap with my white pima tank from Banana Republic, dark straight jeans from Not Your Daughter’s Jeans and my black city boots from David Tate. Saturday I went to a baby shower. I took Emerson so I knew I would… Continue Reading Recapping What I Wore Friday through Tuesday
I know I am not the only one that feels as though brands follow them on social media. Whether it’s ads for products you were just Googling or learning about a new retailer and then seeing it featured by every influencer you follow, it seems that social media is reading our minds. And due to… Continue Reading Nooworks Overalls Review

Yep, DC area born and bred! Glad to have you here, I also write at http://www.wardrobeoxygen.com about fashion for real people. Hope I can be of help and don’t be a stranger! ๐
this is funny! i wondered if you live in D.C. when i saw you refer to “the Metro” in one of your posts! i live in NOVA, and this is *so* true!
this is my first time on your blog. i need HELP! with my wardrobe, and I Googled “Mommy fashion Blogs” and yours came up! i’ll be watching your blog for help, now that I know about your posts, and we’re in the same geographic area (so same weather and stores!)
haha, as soon as it started I knew it was the same guy who did the Arlington Rap. Hilarious.
the arlington rap is also money.
but yes, this metro one is so spot-on!
Oh this made me laugh, gonna make G watch it when he gets home! Any time we go into D.C. we take the metro (unless we’re going to dinner where there’s valet). I think the best part of taking it is watching the tourists who have never been on a freakin’ subway system before. It’s not hard, but damn do they get perplexed.
