Wednesday
This morning on Twitter I said I wouldn't be posting pictures… but then I figured I can at least I can capture a crack-of-dawn shot in my office bathroom! By the way, never noticed the little flower details on the tiles in the bathroom before… I work in a very old building in DC – we still have elevator operators! Well the bathrooms look as though they had a makeover… in 1978. Ah well, they are clean!
So today I dressed in the dark – I left the house at 5:30am and didn't want to wake a single husband, baby, or dog.

I let my hair air dry this morning and it didn't look happy when I got to work so I threw it up with an elastic. Makes me wish I wore earrings!
And this morning, I was THAT WOMAN, the person who puts her makeup on while riding the subway! I KNOW! But really with dressing in the dark and wet hair, I couldn't wait until I got to work to do my face. And at that time of morning, the train is pretty empty until we get into DC proper. But a plus side… you get to see the contents of today's makeup bag!
Yeah, this is an honest picture. I love when I see people's shiny new cosmetic bags with perfect new looking cosmetics inside. This is a bag I got with a gift set from Tarte. The gold-handled brushes are Trish McEvoy, which I have had for well over a decade. The black handled one is from Bare Escentuals and is my fave bronzer brush because it gives such a light fluff of coverage. The gray handled brush is from Sephora and was part of a Smokey Eye kit.
Today it's the Max Factor Pan-Stik, Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage, Tarte bronzer, Nars blush, Revlon ColorStay shadow quad, Cargo lipstick, DiorShow mascara, Shu Eumura lash curler.
I just headed to the bathroom and decided to take off the scarf – it's so warm out, I feel too wintry and the outfit is still very cute without it, now you can see the fun necklaces!

LOL, yeah, my makeup bag looks like makeup exploded in it. To the point that I have started keeping my everyday stuff it in a ziploc bag. I like that I can actually see what I’m digging for…

I’ve been *that girl* many many times. My mom hates it. I try to slink in the corner whilst I’m putting on my makeup, but I know it’s really no excuse. I can only blame myself because I miscalculated my time and I am running late. *hangs head in shame*

Unfortunately no, I got it I think two or three years ago (before I had Emerson). If it was recent I would go get another because they had them in other prints! 🙂
