I often crave something in my wardrobe that is that happy medium between a tee shirt and work clothes.ย I had seen this top quite often when perusing Nordstrom but it didn't catch my fancy.ย When planning for our cross-country trip I thought about how so many times when on road trips I wished to have something that would be comfy but have me look a bit more pulled together when arriving at the hotel after hours in the car.ย I decided to try this top… and I fell in love.ย This top does NOT show well in this post, it was after a long day and a lot of heat and humidity.ย This is Red Barberry which in person is more like a bright red-pink.ย The shirt is of jersey like a soft tee, but the sides are ribbed knit which help give it shape.ย It's quite comfortable in the heat and as I hoped, looked far more refined at the end of the day than a standard tee shirt!

Love this top so I bought it! Purchased the XLP but now will try on again to be sure length is ok – did not account for shrinkage in length! Did you put it in the dryer or hang to dry?
It went in the dryer and shrunk a bit, I line dried the next time and blocked it out to the original size and it went back to it!
Nice outfit, although I don’t think I could wear white bottoms in a car all day because I’d have spots from coffee, chocolate bars and that orange stuff that rubs off of Doritos all over by the end of the day.
I think if you’re going to wear a top that’s not tunic length, a curved hem is the thing to go for. It’s much better looking that something with a straight hem.
I didn’t wear this look in the car. I wore the top with denim shorts in the car one day, and did take the white jeans to look more pulled together for dinners and such ๐
Fabulous!
The color is so pretty on you! I recall a while back when got were going to go neutral in you wardrobe with just a few statement pieces. But, you always add a pop of something colorful to brighten up neutral shades.
That shirt is wildly flattering on you! Yay!
I have a similar shirt in navy blue (can’t remember the brand but I do think I got it at Nordstrom’s) and I love it. As you say, as comfy as a t-shirt but just that little more pulled together.
You look pretty darn put together after hours in the car! When I travel I’m usually in lululemon leggins, a long t-shirt tunic and flip flops. You’re my hero seriously. You look fabulous.
Oh no, these photos were taken before our trip. I did wear this shirt and these jeans on the trip, but not in the car ๐
Love that shirt on you! The color is great!
I really like that shirt. You have the regular length on though, right? Because if you do, there is simply no way it’s going to be long enough for me. ๐
Yep this is the regular and also it shrinks a bit in length with first wash, I had to wet it and stretch it back to this original length. But the color stayed true and it didn’t shrink on any other way.
