Mixing Leopard with Stripes with Talbots
New coat alert! I am so excited for this coat, I had to do my classic combination of leopard with stripes!
I mentioned I loved this Talbots leopard coat in my Talbots Fall 2014 preview and was so excited when they sent me one as a gift! This is more of a coat than an indoor jacket; it's the perfect choice over dresses, blouses and trousers, but I love how it glams up a classic weekend look.
It is a brushed finish; not fake fur but not a traditional cool coat. This is so elegant. I also love the collarless style; I want to style this in the future with a turtleneck. I also think this would look really good styled over a dress. What do you think?
Coat: c/o Talbots | Tee: Armor-Lux | Jeans: NYDJ | Booties: Cole Haan | Bag: c/o Fossil | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
This collarless coat's fuzzy texture adds an additional layer of interest. This coat is a size 12 Petite. It is lined and cozy enough for a brisk fall day. If you add a pashmina at the throat and leather gloves and it will be just enough until the weather gets frigid!
Mixing Leopard with Stripes
I've always been a fan of mixing leopard with stripes (see here and here). I would say that mixing leopard with stripes and adding a red lip is my signature style and something I can see myself wearing for years to come.
This is my current favorite red lip. Surprise, it is actually two colors – I start with Revlon Matte Lipstick in ‘Really Red' and top with Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in ‘Enticing.' This combination provides the shine I desire while also being quite long-lasting. I have had this lipstick last through my morning coffee and even Friday free donuts!
What a fab combo! It sounds like it shouldn’t work on paper, but it really does work in practice.
Love these pants on you! Great fit. The leopard with stripes is a good look too!
That coat is great. I would love it with a LBD for an occasion. Very versatile.
Would not have thought of leopard with stripes but it is adorable. Great styling idea!
I love this coat! Beautiful!
