What I Wore: Seeing Spots
Dress: LOFT | Tights: Spanx | Shoes: Jessica Simpson | Bag: HOBO (similar)
I picked this dress up about a month ago and love its easy one-step dressing. The dress is advertised as a mini dress so I went with a Regular Large to have more length. It's sort of ponte, sort of sweatshirt material and can easily dress up or down and work three seasons of the year. So far I've only worn it in this manner – with thick black tights and ankle booties. However I can envision it with a denim jacket over or chambray shirt under it and come spring with boots and bare legs!
I really like your tights (I know that sounds quite niche!), are they cashmere/woollen or just high denier normal ones? The dress is cute! I feel like red accessories with leopard is quite cliche though, would love to see this with a pink lip and maybe your royal blue handbag to put a different spin on it?
They’re Spanx’s reversible tights (other side is a dark brown) so they’re double layered giving that really nice opacity (and extra warmth come winter!). I guess red with leopard is cliche but I have always liked it, and I’ve been wearing this lipstick and nail color for a couple months so I’ve been gravitating to pops of red. But I love the idea of trying it next time with unexpected colors like blue, thanks Emily!
Allie,
I like the silhouette of this dress. Do they also have it in solid colors? Judging from the regular length on you, it would be way too short on me for a dress. I’m 5′ 9″. But I would love it as a tunic.
Chris
They do have it in a black on black spotted print (the fabric is textured). ๐
Just ordered this! Love it.
Oh it’s going to look adorable on you!
Cute dress. I could see doing it with heavier leggings and flat shoes as well.
Yes, that would look cute! If I got the petite, I could see it being worn as a tunic with skinny jeans too!
Cute! I love LOFT and was just there last night to buy ponte pants and a cardigan! haha
Great minds! ๐
Very cute, and classic Allie!
Thanks Amy!
You look fantastic! This isn’t a silhouette or print I would normally gravitate to, but you rock it.
Thanks Kat!
Love, Love, Love!!!!
Aww thanks my dear!
