What I Wore: Date Night
top | jeans | bag | sunglasses | shoes
Top: Boden (14) | Jeans: Gap (32 Short) | Shoes: Aerosoles c/o Shoebuy | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban | Bag: Shop in Rehoboth Beach (similar) | Necklace: Belleza Mia via Etsy | Bracelets: Rebecca Minkoff (similar), Gorjana, c/o Pura Vida Bracelets, c/o Joseph Nogucci | Lipstick: Bite Beauty in Chai
I mentioned this top in my Boden review, and this is how I wore it for a date night with Karl.ย One night a week, my mom takes Emerson for a night and Karl and I get to go to yoga and then we go out to dinner.ย We went to our favorite sushi restaurant and this look was perfect for a warm summer evening.
This is a good example of how a new top can give a new life to your current wardrobe.ย While these jeans are newish, I could have worn with other white jeans already in my closet.ย These shoes are from last year, the bag is a few years old, and all the jewelry are pieces I wear on a regular basis.ย As I mentioned in the Boden post, I'm glad I went outside my comfort zone with a color not typical for my closet; I think the green makes the look more fresh than if I got my usual black, navy, or stripe.

Hey hotness! I absolutely love the color and neckline of this blouse on you and you’re right, one blouse can totally give life to pieces you already own.

That shade of green is AMAZING on you!
Thanks Lindsay!
How are you making a bra work with these off the shoulder shirts? I like them, but this is an issue for me!
For this outfit, I have on my daily molded up bra with the straps off the shoulder. The top kept them in place. However, I got fitted at a bra boutique and they helped me find a strapless bra that is truly supportive and relatively comfortable!
Allie—can you tell me the brand of the strapless bra…I just don’t love mine?

My favorite is Fantasie, but I’ve also had luck with Chantelle and Wacoal. I link to all of them in this post ๐ http://www.wardrobeoxygen.com/2016/05/ask-allie-bras-3.html
I love that you included your size for the pants and top! I’ve always wondered about fit of things and I just can’t say how helpful things like that is!

I also find it helpful and wish more blogs did it. Especially being 5’3″ and a 14 – I’m cusp between regular and petite and cusp between standard and plus.
