eloquii pink lace midi dressIt's no secret that I have a crush on ELOQUII. For so many years, plus size fashion was devoid of fun. After a short stint as part of The Limited, ELOQUII came back on their own with a mission to make fun and fashionable plus size apparel. And boy do they deliver! Gorgeous color, cutting edge trends, and clothing that celebrates the wearer, doesn't hide her. The people behind the brand are just as awesome – they truly love their customers and want to provide them with an awesome style experience, whether it's with an online purchase or in one of their brick and mortar stores (I'm lucky to live near one of the three ELOQUII stores here in DC and shopping there is such a treat). I couldn't think of any other brand I'd want to wear on Valentine's Day than ELOQUII.

pink lace plus size dressI am attending an event later this month where the dress code is pink and cocktail attire. I asked ELOQUII if I could  have this dress. This dress is just as pretty in person as it is online. I decided to wear it to dinner at Fish by Jose Andres when we visited MGM National Harbor this weekend. I love hot pink with leopard, and pulled out these calf hair pumps I bought a year or so ago. However, this dress would look great with nude pumps, a delicate strappy heel in a soft metallic, or even a pointed toe flat in a contrast color like Kelly green. With the lace sleeves, this is a three-season dress that would be great for Date Night, a holiday party, or a wedding.

I wore ELOQUII to Diner en Blanc, wore ELOQUII on television to model for the brand, even hosted an event at their DC-area store. I love that if there's a trend out there I want to embrace (hello pajama trend!), ELOQUII likely has made it and in a way that flatters a curvy frame.

  1. There’s a great black faux leather moto I’m digging, and their destructed denim looks right up my spooky alley.

  2. I haven’t tried Eloquii yet, but I really need to. I had to buy a new business suit last year, and had the absolute worst time finding anything that fit over my bust in regular stores. Definitely eyeing the Ali jacket, and the Kady pants in the Gena fit (because all my weight is in my belly and chest, and my legs are like toothpicks).

  3. I’ve heard such great things about the Kady pants and I really need to update my work wardrobe – always love your posts about Eloquii!

  4. I would totally get the Grace pointed toe flat (maybe in a few different colors) so I can jump on the loafer trend.

  5. Love everything about this frock – it has colour, texture, shape and swing. Don’t we all need more of that in our lives?

    1. Their catalogue came in the mail earlier this week. My daughter circled all the things she thought I should order and that she could wear when I grow tired of them. Sheโ€™s six.

  6. Love the pink dress, you look amazing! Eloqui has beautiful clothing, I am eyeing up the polka dot crepe pant and 3/4 puff sleeve top.

  7. Fantastic dress. I find myself in cusp sizes these days and after I have this next baby in a couple of months a small shopping spree to fit my postpartum body and beyond world do this mama good!

  8. The hot pink leopard combo is amazing on you! Honestly, though, I’d prefer to see a lower neckline on the dress… The funny thing to me is that before following your blog I would never have realized that what I felt was a bit “off” was the high neckline with a longer midi hemline! Thank you for helping me hone in on my own preferences!!!

  9. I love Eloquii, and I am so glad they offer some items in petite cuts. I am a 12/14 and only 5’1 so some of their items run large on me, and I struggle with the lengths. But I would love the polka dot bell sleeve top!

  10. Huge fan of Eloquii! Over the past year they have become my go-to for business and casual wear. Can’t say which item I would purchase, because I have a cart full ready to go on the website as I type! Seems like Eloquii always has something for me when I need a fashion fix.

  16. That pink dress is a great choice for you. Eloquii has a lot of wonderful things. The biggest gap in my wardrobe right now is dressy (but not too dressy) tops. The Belted Short Sleeve Tee or the Relaxed Flare Sleeve Top look like they would be good choices

  17. I love their accessories and I’ve really been ogling some of the stuff they have coming out soon, like the polka dot shirt and the red and black jumpsuit. I wish they would open up more brick and mortar stores, too!

  18. The striped cutout button detail too is just the sort of thing Iโ€™m looking for now that Iโ€™m staying home with kiddos but still want to look pulled together (and totally love that dress!!)

  19. I have and love their neoprene pencil skirt. It would be great to stock up on more colors–it’s such an easy outfit with a black v-neck sweater. Love that pink dress too, if only I had somewhere to wear it!

  20. This looks adorable on you! What a great Spring dress too. I would buy something green if I won. My favorite color and it looks like Eloquii has a lot to offer right now.

  21. This is a really pretty dress. It looks like a little too much fabric in the bust? Is that just an illusion in the photos?

  22. Eloquii is definitely one of my favorites and my mom’s as well. We talk to each other all the time when new releases happen. I love their fun colorful prints and unmistakable Eloquii aesthetic.

  29. Love the photos and the dress is beautiful. While I don’t own much of pink, I must admit is a pretty color.

And yes to Eloquii coming into the plus size fashion industry and making a name (and statement!) for themselves.

  30. I looked through some of their site trying to see what I would want to get and honestly I’d have a hard time deciding! I’m really liking all the asymmetrical necklines and details they have on their tops – it makes them interesting without resorting to a loud pattern, which isn’t really my style.

  31. Really pretty dress ! And, thank you for reminding me of Eloquii – their Gena pant shape is perfect for me. Here’s what I would pick out on their website: Kady Fit Double-Weave Pant – classic color, fabric looks very lush and ankle-length is perfect for me. I’ll pass the Eloquii web site on to others!
